30 May 2026 Striper Surf Fishing

The conditions were favorable for striped bass today, with overcast skies throughout the day. I tried a variety of lures, including floating, suspending, and sinking jerkbaits, as well as metal lures. The tide was incoming, and for about an hour the water cleared up, creating what seemed like perfect fishing conditions. However, it appeared that the stripers were holding deeper in the water column, as the only lure that produced bites was a 140 mm sinking jerkbait.
