Burg im Spreewald intends to defend its status as a health resort after another decade. And even more! Having been considered a climatic health resort since the mid-1990s, the opening of the thermal spa in the 2000s enabled it to be recognized as a "state-recognized resort with mineral spring spa operations." Now the town aims to achieve thermal brine spa status. The relevant documents have been submitted to the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Integration and Consumer Protection.
