How to fix a broken (non-working) horn on your antique car (and adjust the steering wheel)
If you've ever owned a car or truck from the 40's, 50's, or 60's, you've probably had a problem with the horn at some point, especially if someone else "worked on" the vehicle before you bought it. The good news is that fixing the horn can be really easy. These vehicles didn't have all the electronics that newer cars do, so they're simple to troubleshoot. Simply trace the wiring (which hopefully someone didn't cut and splice) to make sure the circuit is complete and then start at the horn ring/button and work your way toward the horn. If the steering wheel is out of alignment, I'll explain how to adjust it as well. It's usually as simple as removing the horn ring, loosening a nut and working the steering wheel off.
