Amati Schmitt is the youngest musician son of the legendary Gypsy guitarist Dorado Schmitt. He comes from a strong musical community of Gypsy musicians in Forbach; a city that produced musicians such as Dorado Schmitt, Samson Schmitt, Mayo Hubert, Hono Winterstein, and many others. From his youngest age, he was bathed in the Gypsy Jazz tradition. He has not only inherited his father's talent for composition and performing, but he has also created his own style by blending modern influences with the Gypsy tradition.
