BUDGET FRIENDLY Solo Wild Camp at the STONE CIRCLE!!

Hi guys and gals, first of all, I want to thank all my subscribers for supporting my little channel, which is slowly gaining traction. 500 subs! WOW, thank you!! :) To celebrate all the new subscribers, I decided to bite the bullet, pull up my "big girl pants," and attempt my very first WILD CAMP!! To be honest, I wasn't nervous like I had been expecting to be. I'm not sure if it's because I am now so comfortable doing things as a Lone Wolf and being OK with being alone. Or maybe it was just that Wild Camping isn't really anything to fear, as long as you act sensibly, and keep your eyes and ears open to danger. I decided to pick a very easy route a short drive from home, Stanton Moor on the edge of the Peak District, a stone's throw from Matlock. It's fairly low level and flat to walk with clear paths and not a huge area but a very popular and friendly spot. It's famous and well known for the 9 Ladies Stone Circle and the Cork Stone and is only a short hike to the Druids caves that featured in one of my previous Vlogs. I had been collecting camping gear for a while and even had my tent purchased a whole year ago, on a whim during the sales in the hope I would get a chance to go. Alas, I did not. With finances tight like everyone else's this year, I needed to hunt for more budget friendly sales and bargains or second hand kit to complete my set up and on Tuesday I was eagerly waiting for a shiny new back pack to arrive before I could set off! The sun was out for the first time after what seemed like weeks of constant rain, and I was itching to get out there. Fortunately the camping/delivery Gods were smiling down on me and EVRI arrived with my delivery by midday, so I quickly packed all the kit I could cram in, didn't stop to check the bag fit comfortably and set off for the M1! Adding to the weight with a pitstop at ASDA for some foodie bits to keep me happy that night....forgetting to buy lightweight items!! So here we go, my very first Wild Camp... Does the sun stay out for me? Do I manage to find a nice, safe pitch? Or do I end up going home early!!?? Which wild animal tried to eat me this time????
