UN Resolutions and the ICC
UN Resolutions and the ICC With Anne Herzberg of NGO Monitor and Natasha Hausdorff, Legal Director of UKLFI Charitable Trust. The International Criminal Court extensively relies on UN documentation, resolutions, and statements to support factual and legal claims. In investigations relating to Israel such materials have been used to replace factual and legal analysis on the basis that they represent the “views of the international community”. The webinar will explore the ways in which the ICC is using UN materials with a focus on the “Situation in Palestine”, how such documentation is created, and whether the ICC should rely on these records. Anne Herzberg's examination of this subject is now covered in her article in the International Criminal Law Review: https://brill.com/view/journals/icla/...
