Flooding forces evacuation at Ottawa apartment building

Flash flood waters surrounded the 25-floor Park West apartment building at 30 McEwen Avenue, submerging the basement and destroying parked vehicles. CTV's Dylan Dyson reports that tenant Allison Pineault says the building went dark after water rushed inside. Ottawa councillor Theresa Kavanagh says power will eventually be restored, but tenants like Katrina Mayer say they are scared and displaced with no exact timeline. Residents are packing their bags and navigating dark stairwells to evacuate the building because it lacks electricity, air conditioning and running water.
