In addition to being a synagogue for worshiping Jews, the synagogue of Ozra Yaghub was also a gathering place for the Jewish community. It was the second synagogue we visited. In both cases, what seemed to be the most obvious was the erosion of the synagogue's structural texture, which raised concerns about the destruction of these sites in the near future. کنیسای عزرا یعقوب علاوه بر اینکه کنیسایی برای عبادت یهودیان بود، محل اجتماع و محفل اجتماع یهودیان هم بود. این کنیسا دومین کنیسایی بود که موفق به بازدید از آنجا شدیم. چیزی که در هر دو مورد به صورت بسیار بارز و روشن به نظر می رسید، فرسودگی بافت ساختمانی این کنیسه ها بود که نگرانی از بابت خرابی این مکان ها در آینده ای نزدیک خبر می داد.
