a song for our world builder. his love is evident. find me on Twitter (@lilli_furfaro) and Instagram (@lilli_furfaro_music) i breathe stories i breathe them in and out there’s nothing like the witness of a world that’s being born i breathe stories my lungs are filled with pirate ships and towers built, and towers falling down i speak rivers into motion i raise mountains with abandon i write cities sprawling over land and people to complete them i tell stories of my family in a world that i have written and my family breathes my stories my love is etched in continents and seas we are stories beginnings, middles, ends our power lies in living lives that touch a life or two we are stories our families have grown to hold the lives that touch the lives that touch the lives that we do we are poetry in motion and our words give life to action in this world we’ve built on games of chance and hours of introspection let our stories turn to tidal waves that sweep our families home again and maps are etched in memories and melodies and who we want to be i breathe stories i breathe them in and out and stories stitched together are how families are born we are stories our lives are built on weaving all our stories into worlds we call our own we are power, we’re devotion love each other with abandon we are rivers, mountains, cities and the tapestry that holds them my heart is in the brushstrokes of the world that i have written and my family breathes my stories my love is etched in continents and seas
