Portland Electric Pole Saw Review and Demonstration Great Fathers Day Gift

This is a review of the Portland Electric Pole Saw. I purchased it at Harbor Freight on sale but the regular price is around $70. I looked at the cordless models but if you also need to purchase the battery and charger, the cost was much more. If you already have the battery and charger, you can get their cordless model for about an extra $30. In my case, I only expect to use it once or twice a year. Because of this, I went for the less expensive option. This model is corded so you will need a drop cord that will reach to where you plan to use it. There is a guide in the manual for how heavy of a drop cord you need depending on the length you will be using. The Portland Electric Pole Saw comes with everything you need except for chain oil and a drop cord. I used 30 weight oil as directed by the manual. Most of the time I use a oil made for chainsaw chains. It tends to be stickie and does not come off the chain as easily. In the video I demonstrate installing and adjusting the chain and filling the oil reservoir. I also show the wat the pole will extend and the controls on the handle. Next I demonstrate using the pole saw. The first limbs I cut are oak and then I moved on to a dogwood tree. The saw performed well on both and was easy to handle.
