This is why it was with a raised eyebrow that I observed Guerlain merge the louder and bombastic Absolus d'Orient line into this perfumery's Frankenstein's monster we now have by the name of Absolus Allegoria. As if the Allegoria Forte line wasn't enough. Well, we all know it's never enough, so as an eloquent example of this state, today we're smelling Rosa Verde, the latest addition to the milder Aqua Allegorias and Ambre Samar, the latest Absolus Allegoria. Both good in their own right, just, maybe a tad overdone?
