Let's make the Verse ours: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/or... Today I finally got my hands on the new Greycat MDC — the “ground anti-air” vehicle recently added to Star Citizen. I took the opportunity to harvest its ballistic PDC turrets, then mounted seven of them onto my RSI Polaris for a full PvE combat test. The results? Brutal. The MDC comes equipped with the MRX “Torrent” size-2 ballistic point-defense turret — one of several PDC options available. In theory, these turrets were designed to shoot down incoming missiles, torpedoes, or other small threats — but I wanted to see how they perform when aimed at actual ships. With each ballistic PDC delivering 365 DPS (far beyond the ~79 DPS of the laser PDC in my own testing), the firepower on paper was extremely promising. The major trade-off: 5,000 rounds per turret. So the big question is simple — can that ammo pool support extended engagements, or is this build only viable in short bursts? In this video I push the Polaris through sustained PvE combat to measure real ammo endurance, combat uptime, and overall viability of a ballistic PDC loadout. *Timestamps:* 0:00 Intro and stats of PDC 1:37 Greycat MDC overview 3:47 Polaris is ready 4:50 Polaris PDC Ballistic Test 13:53 Final thoughts If you enjoy deep-dive tests and out-of-the-box builds, hit subscribe and follow the journey! #starcitizen #polaris #greycatmdc #pdc #spacegaming
