M30 -14. LAS MURALLAS DE MADRID. LA ESTRELLA.

In this series on the M-30, we conclude the routes we call the walls of Madrid. In an exciting itinerary, we travel along the distant M-50, the exciting M-40, now so urban, and end on the M-30, a worthy heir and successor to the Castellana and Paseo del Prado. These are actually three new walls of Madrid. Walls that originally separated city and countryside, but today both the M30 and M40 are trapped within the city, as happened with so many major streets in our towns and cities that were originally the city wall, its outer ring road. Now we only intend to walk along the M30, learn from its urban planning, its architecture, its successes and mistakes, under the bright sky of Madrid. CITY. URBAN PLANNING. ARCHITECTURE.
