Have you ever noticed how our minds are constantly noisy, full of worries, anxieties, and judgments? There's a practical metaphor I really like to use: a dump truck, when completely empty, makes a deafening noise on the road; but when it's full, it goes on in perfect silence. Our Lady was profoundly silent because she was full of God. We, most of the time, make too much noise because we are empty inside! In this video, I want to invite you to move beyond the surface and recover the joy of a faith that truly transforms your daily actions! We run the risk of becoming mere "Sunday Christians," who fulfill rules out of obligation, but live a spiritually arid life, like a dry desert. Jesus came to meet us to touch our spiritual deafness, to put his fingers in our ears plugged by sin and say to each of us: "Ephphatha"—be opened! He wants to restore our ability to hear the Shepherd's voice and to speak the language of love. I also share an unforgettable and funny story from the late Father Dalmo, who used to say that women spent hours in the confessional accusing their husbands, their neighbors, and their mothers-in-law of their faults, but forgot to confess their own sins! We need to learn to truly strip ourselves bare before God, bending our knees with humility and without justifications, to receive the true cleansing of the soul that only the Sacrament of Reconciliation can give us.
