A PRIMEIRA IGREJA LUCIFERIANA DO BRASIL? TEMPLO CHAMA ATENÇÃO ÀS MARGENS DA DUTRA

The First Luciferian Church in Brazil? Temple Draws Attention on the Margins of the Dutra Highway By Valmir Rodrigo da Costa Souza, "Rodrigo Matarazzo" - Journalist MTB 0021029/MG / Radio Broadcaster DRT 0001640/RN A castle in black and red, striking statues, and rituals shrouded in mystery. A building on the banks of the Via Dutra highway in Itatiaia, Rio de Janeiro, has been arousing the curiosity of drivers and residents of the region. The place is presented as the first Luciferian church in Brazil and its founder is Jonathan Oliveira Ribeiro, 32, known as Master Jonan. But what exactly happens inside this temple? What beliefs are defended in the space? And why doesn't the church yet have official authorization to operate? That's what you're about to find out. The building is located in the Vila Esperança neighborhood and began construction about ten years ago. Since then, the space has attracted the attention of those passing by on the highway because of its unusual appearance. The temple has two main areas, each dedicated to different religious practices. In the first area is the so-called Quimbanda Castle Canta Galo, where cults related to Exu and Pomba Gira take place. In the outer part is located the so-called Luciferian Church. According to the founder, the rituals performed there are focused on the search for knowledge, spiritual balance, and personal development. In addition to the temple, the space also houses a sanctuary with animals and a fig tree, considered a symbol of spiritual protection and connection with religious entities. According to Master Jonan, the church performs three main types of ceremonies. The first is dedicated to Lucifer. According to him, the rituals focus on the search for knowledge and the balance between body and mind. The practices related to Beelzebub are aimed at controlling human instincts, such as anger, impulses, and desires. There is also a ceremony dedicated to the goddess Astaroth, associated with the sacred feminine, involving values such as love, companionship, fidelity, and family. The founder states that the Luciferianism practiced there is not linked to the popular idea of evil. According to him, practitioners believe in God and follow principles such as respect, honesty, and helping others. Despite the social media buzz and the curiosity it has generated in the region, the temple still does not have an operating license. According to Jonan, the difficulty stems from problems with the property's documentation, which involves three different plots of land. He claims he has been trying to regularize the situation since the beginning of construction, approximately ten years ago. Meanwhile, the castle continues to attract attention from those passing by the Via Dutra highway and generates debates about religion, freedom of belief, and religious prejudice. And you, what do you think about this issue? Does the existence of this type of temple represent religious freedom or does it still provoke much controversy in Brazil?
