Bee Movie Game (Xbox 360) - Full Longplay

Finally, my first time recording an Xbox 360 longplay in true 720p HD quality! For around a year or two I've been using my AV Capture Card to record Xbox 360 longplays, which look and sound much worse, but now I have an HDMI capture card and it definitely looks a lot better! Now, the unfortunate part of the HDMI capture card is that I can't watch DVDs on the Xbox 360 from it due to copy protection, but at least I'm still able to record longplays on it in much better quality as mentioned before. Rambling about the new HDMI capture card I have aside, I decided to play Bee Movie Game since it's something I thought of doing late in the night. And man, this longplay took much longer than I thought. It's almost 6 hours, which is probably a new record for how long a longplay is on this channel. I actually had to take a nap after I beat the game due to feeling really tired around the end. This licensed game is definitely one of those "so bad, it's good" kind of games in my opinion. But presentation-wise with the cutscenes, it's pretty good! It sorta feels like a clash between recreating scenes from the movie and also making up new ones, which to be fair, is probably what most licensed movie tie-in video games are. Though, I really do like the variety in this game, which is definitely something this game tries to do. Though I'll admit, the minigames is probably where most of the time was spent in this longplay, because I was mainly trying to go for beating the Racing job minigames, which is basically just a worse Mario Kart. The quick time events is definitely something this game has a lot though, and they're actually pretty easy on the Xbox 360 version. I remember the Wii version being different, with moving the Wiimote around in order to do them properly. But while that was probably a little more challenging, I do appreciate the Xbox 360 version with how easy it is. But yeah, expect to do quick time events a lot in this game. And well, after going through a bunch of the boring but still somewhat entertaining job minigames, the Final Boss is, well, Mr. Montgomery of course! Yeah, this is definitely also one of those weird licensed movie tie-ins where it either cuts to a certain part from the movie, or to a part that ends too early on in the movie, and the Mr. Montgomery final boss is no exception to the latter. But yeah, the bosses in this game are pretty easy, and the awards for beating the game are pretty alright. There's the playable credits, which involves spraying dead flowers so they become alive again. But there's even Bonus Clips from the movie, which I find quite interesting considering it's just the dialogue & sound effects with no background music, unlike the movie which had it. Aside from a few errors in this longplay, such as skipping a bit of dialogue and forgetting to unpause the recording during a part in the BrSpr level at one point, I'm at least glad to finally beat this game for the channel and get it over with. It was honestly a good game in my opinion, but it did get quite boring, especially doing the job minigames for so long. But considering the game also has the Kung Fu Panda video game trailer, I was considering on doing a longplay of that game as well! And I can't wait to get to the Kung Fu Panda video game, since it's one of my childhood video games.
