🌄 Triple Crown – Canmore Trails Adventure 🌄 🚶‍♂️ Mount Lady Mac: 10.67 KM with 1242 meters of EG ⏰ Start Time: 5:00 AM | Finish: 10:35 AM 🚶‍♂️ East End of Rundle (EEOR): 6.21 KM with 872 meters of EG ⏰ Start Time: 11:25 AM | Finish: 3:50 PM 🚶‍♂️ Ha Ling Peak: 8.17 KM with 795 meters of EG ⏰ Start Time: 4:10 PM | Finish: 7:50 PM On August 17, We embarked on an epic journey that pushed me beyond my wildest dreams. The Triple Crown of Canmore Trails was a challenge I had never dared to attempt before, but this day was different. It was a day of triumph, a day of pushing boundaries, and a day of discovering the true essence of personal spirit and determination. 🌟 Mount Lady Mac 🌟 The adventure began in the early hours, shrouded in darkness and light rain. As we set off from the Lady Mac Trailhead, the rain soon ceased, and we were determined to conquer the ridge walk that had eluded me in previous outings. Despite strong winds forcing us to turn back halfway, the experience was exhilarating. It did not seem to be that difficult. The day began to unfold beautifully. The sense of accomplishment was already building. 🌤️ East End of Rundle (EEOR) 🌤️ After a brief respite, we embarked on the EEOR trail. The sun and clouds played their part, in our favor, making the hike enjoyable. The trail was bustling with fellow adventurers. The additional 300 meters from the Ha Ling parking lot, though dusty, did not dampen my spirits. The EEOR trail offered ample opportunities for scrambling and honing scree-handling skills. The final section, though slippery, was manageable with caution. The thrill of the climb was unmatched. 🌅 Ha Ling Peak 🌅 With bodies exhausted and one companion opting out, we decided to tackle Ha Ling Peak at a slower pace. Darkness was not a concern, as the trail was wide open, and we were equipped with headlamps. We took our time, savoring the journey, and completed the hike with hours of daylight to spare. The feeling of reaching the summit was indescribable. Every inch of my body ached, but the sense of accomplishment in my heart was overwhelming. A few years ago, I could not have imagined undertaking such an adventure. I am grateful to the Almighty for the strength and determination to achieve this triumph and for the opportunity to revel in the beauty of nature. This celebration will linger in my heart for days to come.
