For Alice Neto de Sousa, a young poetess (among other things) from Lisbon, poetry has always been a way to deal with problems and uneasiness. On the TEDxAveiro stage, Alice shares a powerful message through her poem "Poeta" (Poet), and none is visible. Alice Neto de Sousa, a Portuguese woman with roots in Angola, was born in 1993. Among other professions, she is a poet. The poet. Of Freedom. She gained notoriety at the beginning of 2022, after reciting her own poem "Poeta," which aired on the program "Bem-Vindos" on RTP África. She began conquering social media and flew around the world. Those who didn't know her before came to know her when, invited to the solemn opening of the official commemorations of the 50th anniversary of April 25th, she recited the poem "Março" (March), written about the occasion. Currently, in addition to being a regular presence on the program "Bem-Vindos" on RTP África, she is part of the pool of poets and storytellers of the cultural association "A Palavra," writes poems about everyday life for the digital newspaper "Mensagem de Lisboa," and dedicates her time to the stage where she refines her words and poetry to be spoken, seeking to "sharpen her tongue" for emerging social issues. Restless by nature in her words and choices, she enjoys the freedom to think and feel.
