One of Louisiana’s top rising stars, Tyshawn Duncan, is taking his talents to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette after an incredible career at Alexandria Senior High School. The explosive forward/center helped lead the Trojans to a State Semifinal appearance while establishing himself as one of the most exciting athletes in the state. Standing at 6’9 with elite athleticism, rim protection, and above-the-rim finishing ability, Duncan became a nightmare matchup for opponents all season long. His impact on both ends of the floor helped elevate ASH into one of Louisiana’s top programs. Tyshawn also showed the world his elite bounce by winning the 2026 Fastbreak Slam Dunk Contest, delivering highlight after highlight and proving why he’s one of the most electrifying players in the state. Now, the hometown star is headed to Lafayette to continue his basketball journey with the Ragin’ Cajuns.
