He explained that after getting released from jail, he recorded seven songs and pressed up his first mixtape. After selling copies of the mixtape on his own, he looked up Hot 97's address and waited outside of the station until Kay Slay wrapped up his show. Later in the clip, DJ Vlad and Papoose talked about Kay Slay being a Hip Hop purist and providing opportunities to anyone he likes regardless of industry politics.
