Le charbon de bois à Madagascar : cuire sans détruire - Documentaire inédit produit par INDRI

🎥 Charcoal in Madagascar: Cooking Without Destroying – A New Documentary Produced by INDRI Don't miss this video, which gives a voice to those working on the ground, with plenty of positivity and hope! In Madagascar, charcoal is central to daily life. But charcoal production is a major cause of deforestation. And when there are no more forests, what will we do? We need a transition to sustainable solutions. “Charcoal in Madagascar: Cooking Without Destroying” is a documentary filmed in northern Madagascar, in Bobaomby and Antsiranana, capturing the realities on the ground. It highlights the daily lives of users and concrete solutions: fatana mitsitsy (traditional charcoal), green charcoal, eco-friendly charcoal… Alternatives that show it is possible to reconcile daily needs with the preservation of ecosystems. A huge thank you to the NGO Madagasikara Voakajy for their collaboration, as well as to the French Development Agency (AFD), Maliasili, the Mulago Foundation, and Excelsior Impact Fund for their support.
