Unbelievable! Broken Bolt Stuck Deep in Cast Iron Housing — Extracted Without Damaging the Thread 😱

This cast iron gearbox housing had a bolt snapped off completely flush inside the threaded hole — no stub to grip, no room for extractors, and cast iron that cracks if you push too hard. Watch as I carefully center-drill the broken stub, use a screw extractor to back it out, clean and chase the thread to full spec, and fit a new bolt — all without damaging the surrounding cast iron or thread. ⚠️ NOTE: Never use an impact driver on a screw extractor — it will snap inside the hole and make extraction impossible.
