The relocation of Arimasu Tobiru, located on Hijirizaka in Minato Ward, Tokyo, took place from August to October. Architect Keisuke Oka began construction of Arimasu Tobiru in 2005 as his own home. Made of reinforced concrete, it's a tiny 24-square-meter home with four floors above ground and one basement. Driven by his desire to "create something that dances," Oka incorporated improvisation into the architecture, and the exterior walls feature unusual patterns and protrusions. While the building is a local landmark, it was forced to move during construction due to surrounding redevelopment. The relocation, which was carried out in two directions—east and south—was carried out southeastward. The relocation was completed under the watchful eye of Oka and others. Construction on the plumbing, foundation, and interior will continue, with completion scheduled for February of next year. Oka's dream has finally come true after 20 years.
