In this vlog-style story, we'll be walking through Moscow's historic sites with our wonderful friend Valery from Arkhangelsk. The second day will be entirely dedicated to Moscow's Presnensky District. Our friendly group will begin their journey from the Ulitsa 1905 Goda metro station, where we'll discuss the events of the First Revolution and why the district is particularly "revolutionary." From there, we'll take a short tour of the Vagankovskoye Cemetery, where many famous figures are buried. We'll also visit a number of interesting constructivist buildings during our walk, especially the former Bread Factory No. 5 on Khodynskaya Street, which now houses the Zotov Cultural Center. We'll also see the flat-paneled houses on Presnensky Val Street. A special highlight of this video will be a visit to the Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Malaya Gruzinskaya Street. Finally, we'll visit the grounds of the famous Trekhgornaya Manufactory, where we'll admire the industrial architecture. As we walk, I'll try to provide commentary on the history of the places we visit, making the video also educational. I hope you enjoy it.
