Piano Sonata No. 1 in E-Dorian (2018) Live

Klaviersonate Nr. 1 in E-Dorisch Performed by Julian Hedenborg Composed by Henry Wolfe Carradine 1. Allegro con fuoco & Moderato [0:35] 2. Tempo di minuetto [10:56] 3. Interludium-Andante [15:24] 4. Rondo - Allegro vivo & Retrospect [18:30] A Larger Sonata I wrote for pianos part of a concert of my works in 2017. I gathered many of the motifs of the first and fourth movement of this work in an apartment across the street from a Balkan club. Every time the door to the bar opened my ears were treated to balkan rhythms and melodies which inspired many of the main motifs of this work. The rest of the work is an homage to the many sights and sounds of the melting pot that is Vienna. A special thanks to my good friend Julian Hedenborg for offering a splendid second performance of this long and technically demanding piece. And finally a thanks to Klavierhaus G.I. Stingl for supporting and offering me Vienna's beautiful Bank Austria Salon for the premiere and performance of several of my works on the 7th of June 2018.
