【37歳】自転車で往復120kmのキャンプ場へ

Last time, I finally got around to bike camping, and sure enough, I got hooked. This time, I went to a campsite in Saitama Prefecture, a 120km round trip. My motivation for bike camping came from watching a YouTuber bike camping. I was so inspired I immediately bought a gravel road bike. I had planned to do bike camping soon, but I realized what camping really entails. I realized I couldn't succeed without first getting used to camping. So I continued camping by foot and by renting a car. And before I knew it, two years had passed... I decided it was time to try bike camping, and finally, the other day, I finally did my long-awaited bike camping trip. It really suited my personality. Camping by car is convenient, but it doesn't involve any exercise, so I always end up overeating, which inevitably comes with a sense of guilt. When camping on foot, it takes up space when using public transportation like trains, and you're concerned about being a nuisance to those around you, and what others think. Also, because you're carrying heavy loads, you're only interested in campsites close to stations, so your range of movement is limited. Bike camping, on the other hand, gets you exercise, you don't have to worry about what others think, and you can go farther depending on your stamina. A beer seeping into your tired body is something special. And even if you overeat, there's no guilt attached. I should have done this sooner. After my second bike camping trip, I've come to love bikes and camping even more. This is adventure. Adventure is a man's romance. I'm still on an adventure.
