In this video, I’ll dig into the origins of MKULTRA and the motivations of its chief architect, the “poisoner in chief”, Sidney Gottlieb. I’ll also explore the multitude of unethical experiments conducted under the secret program’s umbrella and the lack of accountability for those involved. Furthermore, I can’t talk about MKULTRA without touching on its lasting legacy on modern society, from its impact on conspiracy theories to its portrayal in popular culture. It brings up so many ethical dilemmas that continue to plague modern life. What are the implications of this horrific moment in history? What does it mean about our country and the lengths we will go to “win”? What truly are our ethical boundaries when it comes to scientific research and government secrecy?
