Hen Gloddfa Floor 6 (Aberllefenni Slate Quarry)

Hen Gloddfa is one of the most inaccessible mines in the Aberllefenni Slate Quarry. We collected the footage for this film over the course of four years, visiting Ceunant Ddu (the one next door) in between. We began our adventure filming this mine with phones and action cameras and ended up using pro cameras, which was quite a logistical challenge. The film only shows Floor 6, but we plan to visit as much as possible. So far, we've already visited Floor 5 and part of Floor 1. Access to the upper levels is only possible with climbing equipment, which significantly increases the filming time for subsequent films, but it's worth the wait, as it truly is a fantastic place. We don't profit from the sale, but we're mentioning it because it's an absolutely fantastic book and has proved incredibly helpful in our exploration.
