Selva / Yamaha 4 stroke outboard impeller & pump housing replacement when everything is half seized.
Well my dad asked me to replace his impeller and pump housing on his Selva 30 outboard. Its a commercial rated engine thats a restricted 100 hp Yamaha. He bought this second hand, and everything was very tight and hard to get apart. It was quite badly corroded in the lower pump housing. I replaced the impeller, top housing, stainless cup and plate, and the gaskets. Everything was well cleaned, lubed and put back together. Next year I will replace the aluminium lower pump housing.
