Dr. Richard Talbert discusses the concept of the panopticon - the ideal surveillance prison developed in the 1700s. We've taken the concept of the panopticon prison and applied it to society, then to our own lives. And we love it! We willingly and joyfully built our own prison and we have no desire to leave. Big brother? Nope. This is more like Brave New World. Let's dig in... Communication permeates all aspects of life. We cannot not communicate! In addition to basic human communication, communicology also involves the channel/medium and the cultural impact from the interactions of humans.
