Homenaje a Ernesto Cardenal. Mesa redonda "Ernesto Cardenal. Un poeta para el siglo XXI" (27/04/26)

Monday, April 27, 2026 At the Alicante City University Campus, a tribute to the Nicaraguan poet Ernesto Cardenal was held with a round table discussion entitled: "Ernesto Cardenal: A Poet for the 21st Century." The tribute featured presentations by Nicaraguan writer Sergio Ramírez and UA professors José Carlos Rovira (emeritus) and Carmen Alemany, with an introduction by cultural agent Concepción Agüero. During the event, Ramírez reminisced about his experiences with the Nicaraguan poet, portraying Ernesto Cardenal as both earthly and mystical, forever committed to literature and to his homeland, Nicaragua. This event was organized in conjunction with the Alicante City University Campus.
