7 DECORAÇÕES QUE MUDEI DE IDEIA E NÃO USARIA NA MINHA CASA

Everyone likes easy and simple decoration, having DECORATION IDEAS that make our home chic, welcoming and functional is great, even more so if you use DECORATION FOR LIFE, timeless decoration without following DECORATION TRENDS or even worrying about out-of-fashion decoration. But the truth is that we can change our minds over time and something we really liked in the decor may no longer make sense for our routine, moment in life and so we look for new things. So today I'm going to show you 7 DECORATIONS THAT I CHANGED MY MIND ABOUT AND WOULD NOT USE IN MY HOUSE. ITEM 1 – BEIGE COLOR – In the past, the color beige was used on everything, from all walls, ceilings, porcelain floors, ceramic floors, sofas, curtains, furniture, etc. Over time, shades of gray have been gaining more space as a decoration trend and the tone of beige, mainly more yellowish tones, but darker tones or mixed with gray are very elegant and timeless, if you have a decoration with a lot of glass, mirrors, stainless steel and gray color, use a beige floor like a Roman travertine, or porcelain that imitates it, a beige linen sofa and curtains, use sisal, wicker and rattan rugs are good options to make the house welcoming; ITEM 2 – BRUSHED GRANITE – I used to think that granite with a brushed finish could be difficult to clean, but that's not quite the case. Polished granite does have more closed pores, but it still needs to be waterproofed, as granite is a porous stone. Granite countertops can be polished or brushed, but there are other finishes such as honed, brushed and flamed granite, but these are not good for use on countertops. Brushed granite is a fine and very elegant finish, with a more satin look; ITEM 3 – SATIN PORCELAIN TILE – I thought that polished porcelain was the most slippery, external porcelain was the worst to clean and satin porcelain was the middle ground between the two, however there are satin porcelain tiles that can be used in external areas, as they have a very high coefficient of friction, like a non-slip floor, ITEM 4 – LIGHTING – I thought that good lighting always needed a plaster ceiling, but that is not true, the plaster ceiling gives us more freedom to create lighting, but there are great options for surface-mounted lighting. We can use electric rails, LED surface-mounted profiles, pendants with diverters, electric rails with spotlights, luminaires and surface-mounted fixtures, we can have wall lights, table lamps and floor lamps, and LED strips as well; ITEM 5 – TOILET – The flush tank toilet is my favorite, mainly because it is easy to maintain. In the past, I didn't like the flush valve toilet, precisely because I was afraid of maintenance, because the piping is inside the wall and because it uses a lot of water, around 14 liters per flush.
