2025 Veterans' Day Recognition Featuring Ron Jeziorski
NDSA is proud to present the Veterans' Recognition Video, part of our Signature Event Series. Mike Cerre ’69, Former Captain USMC, hosts this year’s program, highlighting the military career and leadership lessons of Ron Jeziorski ND ’67, a member of Ara Parseghian’s 1966 National Championship Football Team. Reflecting on his service are teammate Mike Burgener ’68, friend Paul Ferguson ’67, and his son Jeff Jeziorski. From South Bend to Quantico to Vietnam to California, this weightlifter, football player, and Marine became a teacher and coach, always with “a pen, a paper, and a purpose.” His belief in the power of sports to instill discipline, resilience, and teamwork was the foundation of his life’s work. The video will appear on the Notre Dame Alumni Association and NDSA’s Facebook pages on Veterans Day at 11:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday, November 11.
