“I don’t teach Fundamentals anymore!” That’s right, you heard it correctly. GUE just released their Version 10 Standards—and the legendary Fundamentals course as you know it is gone! In this video, I’m breaking down all the major changes, what’s replaced Fundamentals (and hence, why you won’t see me teaching it in its old form ever again ;) ) We’ll dive into how the course structure has been overhauled into three new offerings: Performance Diver, Basic Fundamentals, and Technical Fundamentals. I’ll explain why these new courses aim to provide more tailored training for divers at different experience levels—from absolute beginners to seasoned pros looking to refine their skills. Plus, you’ll discover how GUE’s recreational courses (Rec 1, Rec 2, Rec 3) have been renamed to match industry standards—think Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, and Master Diver—and what that means for GUE’s brand identity. And that’s not all: GUE has also introduced the CCR Fundamentals class!
