特別感謝 文化部 贊助製作 JRLee 英文配音 甲午戰爭後，戰敗的大清國將臺灣、澎湖割讓給日本。但...難道臺灣人會乖乖就範？！ 明治維新後，本來被列強霸凌的日本，搖身一變成為霸凌別人的殖民主義國家。大清國因為在甲午戰爭敗給了日本，而簽訂馬關條約：割讓了遼東半島、澎湖、臺灣。 為了抵抗日本的接收，臺灣仕紳們成立了「臺灣民主國」。 他們是真的想要臺灣獨立嗎？還是只為了透過國際列強牽制日本？ 而來到100多年後現在的臺灣，我們又該怎麼面對依然艱難的國際困境呢？ After the First Sino-Japanese War, the defeated Qing Dynasty ceded Taiwan and the Pescadores Islands to Japan. But did the people of Taiwan just obediently submit? Following the Meiji Restoration, Japan, which had previously been bullied by colonial powers, transformed into a colonial power that bullied others. The Qing Dynasty, having lost to Japan in the First Sino-Japanese War, signed the Treaty of Shimonoseki, ceding Liaodong Peninsula, the Pescadores, and Taiwan. To resist Japan's takeover, Taiwanese intellectuals established the "Republic of Formosa." Did they genuinely want Taiwan's independence, or were they only trying to use international powers to counter Japan?
