Abused Griffith Tool Works Carpenter's Hatchet - Properly Restored!

Welcome back to the garage! This episode is a special treat for everyone who not only likes to see old tools brought back to life but also receive a bit of an upgrade as well! This 50+ year old half hatchet was made by Griffith Tool Works out of Philadelphia, PA. Germantown Tool Works became Griffith Tool Works around 1919. And prior to this, Germantown Tool Works can trace its history back to the mid 1800's! I found this particular hatchet at a local estate sale, just sitting in the basement looking tired, worn and dirty - a perfect candidate for a garage restoration.
