This trip was a beautiful example of how good you can eat when camping. Folks are always saying how food taste better when you're camping so I say why not eat well to take advantage of not only the best ambience but also the best tasting food there is. I was using a Firebox Freestyle configured as an octagon, and I was baking in the box pot by using the cooking stone in the bottom as thermal mass then placing a few hot holes on top so that heat gets delivered from both directions. In this video, I cooked over a wood flame of the Firebox Freestyle Stove configured as an octagon fire-pit. I baked in my titanium Box-Pot by placing a cooking stone in the bottom for thermal mass and adding a few hot coals on top to ensure heat was delivered from both directions evenly.
