Catbells - easy route

Catbells Part Deux Well after failing to scramble to the top of catbells via the Skelgill route I returned the following week to try again. Thankfully there’s an alternative route which avoids the (what I call sketchy way up). Parking at the side of Brandelhow Park on the roadside in one of the many lay-bys we walked along the road and then turned right onto the path to ascend catbells via Hausegate. The path is steep but very enjoyable steps all the way upto Marte bield. Then it’s a short ascent up to catbells summit. Loved this walk. It has the most incredible views over Derwentwater and Skiddaw with extensive 360 views. Never let it beat you If in doubt just get out 💗🥾
