Trasladan a grupo de reos al penal de Minga Guazú
A massive operation to transfer inmates from the old Ciudad del Este prison to the new maximum-security prison in Minga Guazú took place. The transfer of more than two hundred convicts is part of a national plan to reorganize the prison system and achieve the definitive closure of the old facility located in a sensitive urban area. Despite adverse weather conditions, the operation had strong police and military support to ensure order and prevent any major incidents. The Ministry of Justice reaffirmed that these actions aim to strictly separate convicted individuals from those awaiting trial in order to modernize the country's prison management.
