Safari Island Maldives - October 2022 - Snorkel and Island

-- English Version below -- Wir waren vom 16. bis 28.10.2022 auf Safari Island in einem Semi-Water Bungalow. Das Hotel, die Insel und das Essen sind ein Traum. Das Video zeigt größtenteils die Unterwasserwelt, die sicherlich jeden Schnorchler/Taucher begeistert. Von der Insel gibt es genug gute Videos bei Youtube ;) Das Hausriff scheint sich langsam von der Korallenbleiche zu erholen. Überall gibt es Anemonen und kleinere Korallen. Einige Aufnahmen enstanden bei Bootsausflügen. Dort werden benachbarte Riffe angefahren. Das Riff ist an diesen Spots merklich erhaltener. Hinsichtlich der Fischvielfalt ist das Hausriff beeindruckend. Alle im Video enthaltenen Meeresbewohner können mit ein wenig Glück und Geduld (!) am Hausriff angetroffen werden. Es scheint sogar einen kleinen Mantarochen zu geben, der von einigen Gästen gesichtet wurde. Highlight war natürlich unsere Begegnung mit den Delfinen bei unserer Kanu-Tour. Laut den Angestellten kommen die Tiere fast täglich an der Insel vorbei. Wir haben sie 4 mal gesehen. Meist um die Mittagszeit. Alle Aufnahmen enstanden beim Schnorcheln / Freediving bis 10m Tiefe. Kameras: Gopro Hero 10 Black Sony RX10-M3 ----------------------------- We traveled to Safari Island from 16th to 28th of october 2022 and enjoyed our stay in a semi-water bungalow. The resort, the island and the dining are magnificent. This video focuses on the underwater world that is shurely fascinating all snorklers/divers. There are enough good videos of the resort out there ;) The house reef seems to recover from coral bleaching. There are lots of anemones and little regrowing corals. Some footage comes from boat trips. On these trips you will be taken to reefs nearby Safari Island. The reef on this spots is in noticeable better shape. Regarding the diversity of underwater life the house reef is remarkable. Every marine animal in this video can be seen on the house reef if you are a bit lucky and patient(!). Some guests have seen a little mobula rey as well. Highlight was the dolphin encounter during our kajak-tour. The employees told us that they are visiting the island nearly daily. We saw them 4 times. Mostly during lunchtime. All footage was taken while snorkeling / freediving up to 10m depth.
