Tárrega - Gran Vals "Nokia Tune" (Ocarina of Time Soundfont)
As requested by AndreasC2000, here's a rendition of the Gran Vals with the Ocarina of Time soundfont. The Gran Vals, written in 1902, was originally just another standalone piece in the relatively obscure classical guitar repertoire. It stayed that way for almost an entire century until one specific phrase from it (you'll know it when you hear it) was used in the 1990s as a ringtone for the Nokia-brand series of mobile phones, albeit with one note altered. From then on, it has been firmly ingrained in the public consciousness as the "Nokia Tune". One can only wonder what its 18th-century composer, Francisco Tárrega, would have thought of this development. Gran Vals Composer: Francisco Tárrega Soundfont: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
