Synopsis: The rural drama film "A Woman From The Outside" tells the story of Li Suju, who travels from Sichuan to a mine in the Taihang Mountains of Hebei to collect debts owed to her deceased husband. Encountering danger along the way, she is rescued by Teacher Zhang. She later stays at Teacher Zhang's house, where she meets and takes good care of Zhang Dawang's two children. When her efforts to collect the debt are thwarted, Dawang sexually assaults her, causing Suju immense suffering.
