Live with Restream, June 16
‘The faith’, is a phrase used by Paul the apostles throughout his writings, and depending on the context, it means one of two things. First, it can refer to the faith which we exhibit towards Christ; our believing to be exact. Secondly, it refers to the gospel and the body of truth which comprises Christianity. In the book of Jude, which we have been studying, ‘the faith’ is referring to the second meaning. Here Jude says we are to ‘earnestly contend’, i.e., ‘fight and struggle with intense effort’ for and in regards to our doctrine. Has this been your experience or mine? Join us as we continue our study in the book of Jude, focusing on the nature of false teaching and the effect it has on those who embrace and are taken in by it.
