In this video, we'll chat directly with Kak Koni Ilma, an inspiring farmer from Ciamis Regency who has successfully developed the Sentul Chicken. This chicken is not a crossbred, but rather a native Ciamis germplasm with extraordinary advantages: tastier meat, a tender texture, and a very fast growth rate! However, Kak Koni's journey wasn't easy. He experienced bitter failure, resulting in the death of 2,000 chickens due to incorrect feeding. From that failure, "Pahalaraga" (Ancestral Biological Feed of Queen Galuh) was born, an organic feed formula made from agricultural waste and herbs that promotes healthy chickens without chemicals. Hopefully, this story can inspire young Indonesian farmers to continue learning, recover from failure, and preserve local germplasm for sustainability.
