KOMPAS.TV - A joint team has successfully located the last victim previously reported missing from a house explosion in the Grand Polonia Complex, Medan City, North Sumatra. The victim was found deceased, bringing the total death toll from the incident to three. The last victim was found buried under debris on the second floor of the house during a search using heavy equipment that had been deployed the day before. With the discovery of the third victim, all victims of the explosion have been successfully evacuated. Police are now focusing their investigation to determine the cause of the explosion. Preliminary examinations by the North Sumatra Regional Police Forensic Laboratory revealed that the source of the explosion was confirmed to have originated inside the house. Gas detectors revealed varying concentrations in the kitchen area, right next to the cooktop. Meanwhile, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) Medan Area stated that they had conducted gas detection in the house that exploded. Tests on the first and second floors showed zero ppm, meaning no methane gas was detected. However, PGN stated that they were still awaiting the results of the police investigation to determine the cause of the explosion. Previously, CCTV footage showed the moments after the powerful explosion that destroyed the house in the Grand Polonia Complex.
