“Before the Lord”

After a three-month stopover at the house of Obed-edom, the ark of God finally arrived in Jerusalem. This momentous national occasion was marked by rejoicing, sacrificing, dancing, and shouting, with King David himself leading the procession, leaping before the Lord. When he returned home, though, he met his wife Michal’s disapproval for his undignified actions.
