Staying Proficient: Stalls and Engine Failures

Join me on a practice flight and let me show you the maneuvers you have to perform when you get your private pilot license. See what I do to stay proficient, especially when I haven't flown in a while. You will see me stall the airplane and land with a simulated engine failure. I will also show you what a short field landing looks like. I'm Michael, a private pilot who is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. I love aviation. I fly for fun and enjoy earth from above. I love taking friends with me along the ride as well as going on the occasional solo airplane camping adventure. I usually fly a Cessna 172S from Reid-Hillview (KRHV) airport but I also love taking the opportunity to fly different planes in different parts of the world. Join me on my journey of becoming a better pilot and discover the world that general aviation unlocks with me! Disclaimer: I am not a flight instructor. Any explanation I give in this video are for entertainment purposes only and should not be considered flight instructions. The video does not contain all phases of flight nor does it contain all ATC communication. Some things have been cut or shortened.
