Pakistan - India Relations: Fractured Past, Uncertain Future

PIDE hosted Ambassador Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry for an engaging discussion on his new book “Pakistan–India Relations: Fractured Past, Uncertain Future.” He unpacked the core drivers of the rivalry—historic mistrust, Kashmir, terrorism narratives, and India’s regional ambitions—while reminding that peace, though difficult, remains possible through dialogue, stronger narratives, and geo-economic cooperation. VC Dr. Nadeem Javaid concluded that Pakistan–India ties are not history; they shape the security, economy, and aspirations of 1.5 billion people. Such conversations may not resolve disputes, but they keep space for possibility alive. A timely and important session at PIDE. #PIDE #PakistanIndia #Diplomacy #ForeignPolicy #SouthAsia #PeaceDialogue #AizazChaudhry
