BMW E28 M5 restoration - how different is the M5 interior strip down to an E30??? We start the restoration process on this BMW E28 M5. We inherited this project 2 years ago as a shell with a bunch of parts wrapped up. We had to go through all the parts (never assembled a E28 M5 before), assemble and figure out what was missing and then start sourcing. Once put together, we were able to test the car. Now we start the strip down process on it and we start off with the interior.
