June 7th brought a break in the rainy season's sunshine in Okayama and Kagawa prefectures. With the pool season beginning, first-graders at elementary schools in Okayama City enjoyed their first swimming lessons. Children cheered as they enjoyed the feel of the water. At Soumei Elementary School in Naka Ward, Okayama City, the pool opened on the 6th, and on the 7th, 93 first-graders participated in their first swimming lesson. This year, restrictions on the number of students have been lifted, returning to the pre-COVID-19 format.
